Scott Hallenbeck

CEO and Executive Director, USA Football

Scott Hallenbeck has led USA Football, the sport’s national governing body and a recognized sports organization of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, since 2005. In his role as CEO, Hallenbeck oversees all aspects of USA Football, guiding its nonprofit mission to lead, strengthen and grow the sport through premier educational, development, and competitive programs for American football, including tackle and flag football.  Under Hallenbeck’s leadership, USA Football develops and delivers best-in-class education, resources and programs to nearly 6,000 enrolled youth football organizations, reaching more than 250,000 coaches and 1.5 million players.

Additionally, as the sole U.S. member of the International Federation of American Football, USA Football organizes and operates the exclusive high-performance and national team program, providing unique access and opportunities for elite athletes to compete for Men’s and Women’s Flag and Tackle U.S. National Teams in international competitions. USA Football is the only organization that selects and organizes the national teams for federation-sanctioned international competition, including the Olympics.

In addition to his role with USA Football, Hallenbeck also serves as vice president for IFAF, which consists of 74 member nations spanning six continents dedicated solely to American football. IFAF is the international governing body for the sport of American football and is responsible for all regulatory, competition, performance and development aspects of the game on a global level.

Hallenbeck served the U.S. Olympic Committee from 1991–1994 before joining Reebok (1994–1996) in global sports marketing capacities. He was also a vice president for Turner Broadcasting’s 1994 Goodwill Games production.
