Macie McNichols
Macie McNichols is the senior manager of national technical events at USA Swimming, where she oversees the planning and execution of the organization’s Championship and National Technical Events.
In her role, McNichols is instrumental in establishing and implementing standard operating procedures that ensure the highest quality for both national and international swimming competitions held within the United States. Most recently, she supported USA Swimming’s vision and efforts of hosting a U.S. Olympic Team Trials in an NFL stadium to life — the first of its kind.
A graduate of The Ohio State University, McNichols holds a bachelor’s degree in health promotion, nutrition, and exercise science and a master’s in kinesiology, sport management. While at Ohio State, McNichols was a four-year varsity letterwinner in swimming, earning All-American and Academic All-American honors, a two-time Big Ten Champion, and a two-time U.S. Olympic Team Trials Qualifier.
McNichols has been a vital part of the National Events Team since August 2019 and has served in her current capacity with USA Swimming since June 2024. She is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
